Crispy Chilli Potato| Indian Starter/Appetizer Recipe



Crispy Chilli Potato, batter-fried crispy potatoes in delicious chilli garlic sauce, is an excellent vegetarian option for party starters/appetizers.

Ingredients for Chilli Potatoes:
Potatoes – 2 medium-sized;
For the batter – 1 ½ cup chick pea flour (besan/gram flour) or all-purpose flour/maida, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder or as per taste, 1-2 tbsp all-purpose flour/maida/rice flour, 1 ½ tbsp cooking oil, approx. ¾ cup water;
Cooking Oil for deep-frying;
For the sauce – 2-3 tbsp oil, 1 ½ tbsp finely chopped garlic, 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger, 1 tsp red chilli flakes, 2 tbsp red chilli sauce, 2 tbsp plain water, 1 tsp white vinegar/lime juice, ½ tsp sugar/honey (optional), salt to taste.
