Here is a recipe we love that is quite easy to make. It can be served warm or cold, but we prefer it warm. It is a vegetarian dip made with cheese, spinach and artichokes. You can serve it with bread (we like pumpernickel), crackers, pita wedges, celery or baquette slices.
Before you start making the dip, make sure you have all the ingredients:
Spinach (easiest is the frozen, chopped kind – drained)
Artichokes (jar or canned – drained)
Italian cheese (asiago, a blend – but also works with cheddar)
Garlic
Cream cheese
Heavy cream (35%/whipping cream)
Nutmeg (salt and pepper to taste)
Preheat your oven to 350. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare with a food processor. You will need an oven proof dish to bake it in – for 20 to 25 minutes.
Refrigerate left overs. They can be served cold the next day or you can put in microwave to warm up.
