Chicken Paneer Samosa from Maimoona Yasmeen’s Recipes
Ingredients:
Chicken with bones: 250 grams
Salt: 1/4th teaspoon + 1/4th teaspoon
Black pepper powder: 1/4th teaspoon
Water: 3/4th cup
Oil: 2 tablespoons + for frying
Diced onion: 4 tablespoons
Garlic cloves: 2
Paneer block: as per the requirement
Red chilli powder: 3/4th teaspoon
Coriander/dhaniya powder: ½ teaspoon
Whole green chillies: 3
Chopped coriander: 1 tablespoon
Samosa strips: as per the requirement
Paste of all purpose flour and water: for the sealing
Procedure:
1. Add chicken with bones to a pan. Add 3/4th cup water, 1/4th teaspoon salt and 1/4th teaspoon black pepper powder to the chicken.
2. Mix well, close the lid.
3. Cook on medium flame till the chicken is tenderized
4. Allow this to cool, remove the bones and shred the chicken.
5. Add 2 tablespoons oil to the pan.
6. Add diced onion and stir fry for 30 seconds.
7. Add crushed garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds.
8. Add grated paneer.
9. Add shredded chicken.
10. Add red chilli powder, 1/4th teaspoon salt or add salt as per the taste, coriander or dhaniya powder, diced green chillies and chopped coriander. Stir fry for one minute.
11. Chicken paneer filling is ready.
12. Mold samosa strips into triangular shapes. Fill with the chicken mixture.
13. Seal the edges using all purpose flour or maida and water paste.
14. Add oil for frying. When the oil is hot, lower these samosas into the oil and fry on both sides till they turn light brown.
15. Chicken Paneer Samosas are ready.
