Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 30- 45 minutes
Recipe:
1lb ground beef or chicken
8 oz block of mozzarella
1/2 chopped bell pepper
1/2 chopped onion
1 egg
1 envelope of onion soup mix
2 tbsp of bread crumbs
1 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp of cajun seasoning
6oz can of tomato paste
salt and peper to taste
Instructions:
First, combine meat and chopped veggies with all of the dry ingredients and the eggs and mix together.
Second, when mixed together take half of the meat mixture and fill bottom of loaf pan.
Third, place block of cheese on top of the first layer,then add the rest of the meat mixture to the top.
Finally top the meatloaf with tomato paste and cover with tinfoil.
Bake on 350 for 30 -45 minutes.
At the half way point remove tinfoil so the top can develop some color.
