Check out this healthy recipe for your lunch, dinner or breakfast. Palak rice also called as palak chawal, palak biryani or palak kichidi and is very quick and easy to make recipe with these simple steps. Learn how to prepare spinach pulao by our home chef.
Palak Rice
INGREDIENTS:
Ghee – 3 Tbsp.
Cinnamon – 1 Inch
Cloves – 4 Nos.
Cardamom – 4 Nos.
Bay Leaf – 2
Green Chillies – 4 (Slit lengthwise)
Onions – 1 Small
Spinach – 2 Cups
Grated Carrot – 1/4th Cup
Salt to taste
Water
Basmati Rice – 1 Cup (Washed & Soaked)
METHOD:
1. Add 3 Tbsp. ghee to a pan. Add 1 Inch cinnamon, 4 cloves, 4 cardamoms and 2 bay leaves and saute for a while.
2. Add 4 green chillies and 1 grated onion and saute for 2 min.
3. Add 2 cups spinach, 1/4th cup grated carrot and saute for a while. Add 1 Tsp. salt to it. Add 2 cups water and bring it to boil.
4. Add 1 cup raw rice to it. Boil it until the rice cooked well. Your quick spinach rice ready.
