Ingredients: (Makes 18 samosas)
Bread – 18 slices (Toasted)
Potato – 2 big (Boiled and mashed)
Peas – 1 handful
Onion – 1 big
Ginger – 1 big piece (Crushed)
Green chilly – As per taste
Coriander seeds – ½ tbsp (Optional)
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Coriander leaves
Garam masala for taste
Maida / All purpose flour
Oil
Salt
Steps:
Heat oil in a pan and add onion, ginger and green chilly.
Lightly crush the coriander seeds and add it when the onion turns soft.
Add turmeric powder and sauté till the raw smell goes away.
Reduce the flame and add boiled and mashed potatoes.
Add peas, coriander leaves and salt.
Mix well.
Switch off and let it cool.
Make a thick paste of maida adding some water.
Flatten each toasted bread slice using a rolling pin.
Apply a layer of the maida paste on all four sides of the bread.
Place a spoonful of the filling at the center and fold as a triangle.
Join the edges.
Repeat for the rest of the bread slices.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them.
Flip and cook both sides.
Remove and enjoy the hot and crispy bread samosa.
