The Tuna-Free, Grain-Free, Gluten-Free Apple Salad is an energy booster with a generous amount of protein and free from grain and gluten. It is an all-season salad and good for pitta and kapha. This recipe is not suitable for vata. This salad is best for breakfast, lunch or an early evening snack.

Ingredients include cooked chickpeas – 2 cups, shredded red cabbage – 2 tablespoons, green apple – 1, crushed pickles – 2, yogurt – ½ cup, chopped celery – ½ cup, corn flakes – ½ tablespoon, sea salt to taste, grounded black pepper – ½ tablespoon.
