  • Ok this is maybe very especific but I live on my own and I think that most young people live in a situation in which the groceries they buy are for themselves alone and not for a whole family, and so it’s difficult to buy all these different products at once because it’s only you and about 3 meals a day and you want to run out before they stale and that takes a longer time for only person. So if I were to buy all these products (that are not cheap by the way) to do these recipes I’d be cooking these 3 recipes for months until the products ended before they stale, so it doesn’t give much diversity.
    Also these nutricional yeast, protein powders, spirulinas, tofu, they’re still processed, they’re vegan but they’re processed, not natural. I’d like to see more videos with just natural ingredients recipes. ✌️

  • Would silken tofu work? if not do you know a website that ships extra firm tofu internationally cause I cant find it anywhere

  • I think Spirulina is vile, I tried so hard to incorporate it in my meals, I just couldn't, it would take over even when I used it in small amounts. Btw, you don't have to add the lemon to your smoothie (unless you want to) because the berries have enough vitamin C to help with the iron absorbtion

  • Any protein that the body doesn't use goes down the toilet, literally. Our kidneys handle excess protein by peeing it out. That's why it is suggested that we don't "over protein ourselves."

  • Garlic is poisonous when consumed raw if it enters the bloodstream. Always cook your garlic or use garlic powder!

  • Hmmm i didnt know sprouted lentils cook faster! You can make your own sprouted lentils. Just get a tray, lay a sheet of cotton on it, spread some lentils on it, and water it 😀 We used to do this in elementary school 😀
    You will see the lentils grow sprouts after a few days 🙂 you can eat the sprouts too, they are healthy AF!
    Afterwards, cook the lentils 😀

  • What oil do you (or anyone that reads this) use when pan frying tofu? Olive oil causes mine to stick and burn. What oils have a higher smoke point good for tofu?

  • Hey rose, just letting you know you can mix 1 tsp spirulina to 3 tsp carob powder and it completely masks he fishy taste!! Also, you can add spirulina with pineapple and it does same thing not sure of ratio! Thank you for you amazing videos!!!:-)

  • I did a quick Google to find out about how much protein is 'too much' and what are the risks, these are some of the things I found (with links – obviously don't believe everything you read, but make your own informed decisions!)

    "Following a high-protein diet for an extended period can increase your risk of kidney damage." – https://www.healthline.com/health/too-much-protein (It also mentions possible link to cancer but that was likely confounded by the link between high protein and high meat consumption. I don't think much research has been done about plant protein and cancer.)

    "You need at least 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day, with very active people needing in the range of 1.2 to 1.8 grams per kilogram" – https://www.womenshealthmag.com/food/a19962050/too-much-protein/
    So for me a good amount would be about 60g a day, I assume your body type is not super different, so your 120g is probably not excessive if you are exercising for say 1 hour daily – but if you're only doing that once or twice a week, you probably aren't using anything above 80g.

    All 3 of those sources talk about increased urea production, making you more thirsty and leading to possible *kidney failure*, so that is what I'd be most concerned about. I assume this kind of video is just for the purposes of showing 3 individual high-protein meals and you don't generally eat this much every day? But if you do, it may be worth spacing out the protein a bit, and maybe mention in the next video that it's not recommended to eat this much protein in one day or every day. 🙂 Just one of these meals would be good so people can forget about protein intake for the rest of the day and just eat what they want! That's what I tend to do – get one meal at 30-35g and the rest will work itself out.
